Chocolate Experience Days: Learn to make your own delightful chocolates with this fantastic
luxury chocolate making workshop in London. This chocolate making
class will give you some insight into the world of chocolate making
as a Master Chocolatier - for whom every day is a heady swirl of
molten chocolate and delicious ingredients - teach you to work with
the finest ingredients to make delicious fresh cream truffles, fudge and chocolate slabs.
The chocolate making class begins when you meet the chocolatier
host and start off the class with a chocolate martini making
session, drizzling the glass with melted chocolate. You'll also be
given a glass of prosecco to enjoy throughout the rest of
the workshop. Then it's time to learn the techniques to make
truffles that are far beyond anything you could hope to find in the
supermarket - these are truly artisan! Your chocolatier guide will
take you through the highly fascinating history timeline of
chocolate and how the magical creations were born and developed.
You'll also learn how the chocolate is made, taste test the
mouth-watering samples to decide on your favourites and also learn
from the chocolatier connoisseurs some useful tips for when it's
your turn to make the chocolates.
After this you'll be feeling highly knowledgeable to make your very own chocolates. Get creative with the different flavours available, experimenting with rose, fig, orange and mint to discover a fantastic mix. In partners you'll then make the fresh cream truffles. To add some finishing touches to your truffles, you'll have a selection of edible decorations such as, berry dust, white chocolate flakes and strawberry curls. At the end of the workshop you'll be given a ribbon-tied bag of which you can take home 15 of your handmade chocolates.
A fantastic gift idea for men or women, whether for a birthday, engagement, wedding or Christmas present, the Luxury London chocolate workshop gives them the chance to get creative in the sweetest possible way!

London Luxury Chocolate Making Workshop Reviews

As well as participating in one of their fantastic chocolate workshops in London last week, I was also lucky enough to get an interview with Hannah Saxton, the founder of My Chocolate. With a range of experiences on offer, from corporate events to hen parties, there are tonnes of reasons to get your hands dirty making delicious chocolates!
1) Please explain your journey as ‘My Chocolate’ so far.
I left university nine years ago and used my saved-up student loan to set-up MyChocolate, the UK’s first chocolate making events company. For the first year, I ran workshops from my tiny flat in Shepherd’s Bush and spent evenings working as a waitressing to make ends meet! Once the word got out about MyChocolate, I was lucky enough to receive great press coverage and the bookings started to roll in. We now run around a hundred workshops a month in London, Manchester and Brighton for gift experiences, hen parties and corporate events.
2) What has been the biggest or most memorable event you’ve provided?
There have been so many! If I had to pick the top few I’d say appearing on The Apprentice and running a huge corporate event at the Ritz.
3) Is there any inside information you can give us?
There’s a little more to chocolate making than most people think! Our workshops focus on the fun side of chocolate making but we like everyone to leave with a few tricks of the trade. For example, we teach Tempering, the process of cooling chocolate down so it’s the right temperature to work with and how to use transfer sheets, which print edible pictures on your chocolates.
4) Do you have any exciting plans for the future that you’d like to tell us about?
We are currently working on a new product. I can’t say anything at the moment but we will have an exciting announcement soon!
5) What would you say is your most frequently asked question?
“Can I take my chocolates home with me?” The answer is always yes, unless you eat them all during the workshop!
